In this Rabbit Air MinusA2 review we will look at some of the key features and technology used in this top notch air purifier.

Look:

The Rabbit Air Minus A2 is one of my favorite air purifiers for mold, but just like anything, it’s not perfect.

There are two separate versions of the Rabbit Air MinusA2:

The SPA 780 A/N, which covers 815 Square feet and The SPA 700A, which covers 700 square feet.

This review will be dedicated only to the SPA 780 A/N.

So, let’s take a look at this air purifier and determine if it’s right for you.

Features of the Rabbit Air MinusA2 Design

The Rabbit Air MinusA2 is by far one of the most attractive air purifiers on the market in terms of look.

It has a sleek, wall-mounted design that only the Airocide 200 APS-200 looks as good. With no upgraded art, it kind of looks like a modem.

Speaking of art, you can choose from a variety of front panel designs from Snoopy to Monet’s waterlilies, cherry blossoms, Mona Lisa, and a few others.

It is about the right size for a small painting and blends in well.

So, instead of appearing like an air purifier, the Rabbit Air Minus A2 can look like a work of art and add to your home décor!

Size

While not quite as small as Airocide’s units, it’s still relatively small compared to other air purifiers like the Enviroklenz Mobile Air System.

Width: 21.4 inches

Height: 19.25 in height

Weight: 19.4 Lbs

Air Exchanges Per Hour and Cleaning Air Delivery Rate

The Rabbit Air MinusA2’s standard coverage is two air exchanges per hour with regular use and up to 4 times per hour for allergy sufferers.

The cleaning air delivery rate (CADR) for the machine is listed as:

Pollen: 200 cfm

Dust: 193 cfm

Smoke: 180 cfm

The cleaning air delivery rate tells how well an air purifier will clean an area. Compared to a unit like the Alen BreatheSmart 75i where the CADR is listed as 347, this could indicate that the Rabbit Air Minus A2 is better for smaller areas than an 815 Square foot room.

Wireless Capabilities

One of the unique features compared to some of the other air purifiers that is you can control the system from your phone.

Rabbit has an app you can download to your smartphone.

The app will tell you:

  • If the unit is on or off
  • The air quality scale ranging from poor to best with five different levels
  • The fan speed
  • Auto Mode
  • Sensitivity levels
  • Pollen Mode
  • Lighting on the unit

Auto Mode

Auto mode on this unit is another great feature.

The Rabbit Air MinusA2 senses when there are high amounts of particles or odors in the air.

The fan will automatically speed up, and when it gets rid of the indoor pollutants, the fan automatically slows down.

Six levels of filtration

Another thing that stands out about the Rabbit Air Minus A2 is the filtration. It has six filters!

Each of them does different jobs.

The six filters include:

  • Pre-filter: Traps large particles and allergens
  • Medium filter: Takes care of airborne particles that are larger than 1 micron in sizes, such as mold, pet dander, and pollen.
  • HEPA filter: This is the critical feature. It traps particles down to 0.3 microns.
  • Custom filter: This feature unique to Rabbit Air allows you to tailor your purifier to your needs. You can get a filter that focuses on reducing pet allergies, for example or one that maximizes odor removal. This is a neat feature that recognizes that every situation is different and that your needs may change. For example, if you get a dog, you can replace your current filter with one that focuses more on pet dander.
  • Activated Carbon filter: The purpose of this filter is to reduce Odors
  • Negative ion generator: This weighs down remaining airborne particles such as fine dust, which makes it easier for you to vacuum them up. This air purifier is approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB).

These six layers work together so that you will have a clean and odor-free environment. Thanks to its excellent design, the overall performance of the Rabbit Air is exceptional.

Rabbit Air Minus A2’s filtration system proprietary fibers that not only trap 99.97% of all particles up to 0.3 microns in size but also up to 99% of particles that are less than 0.1 microns in size. This is the workhorse of the Rabbit Air and what makes it such a powerful air purifier, especially for mold. Still, it also provides no opportunity for bacteria and viruses to grow over time.

Quiet Rabbit

Another key feature of this unit is the fact that it’s one of the more quiet air purifiers I have come across.

You can hardly hear it when the fan is on low.

The Rabbit Air Minus A2 has something called A Brushless Direct Current motor. This keeps the sound very low.
