What Florida requires
Florida licenses mold assessors and mold remediators separately. Assessors must hold a license to perform mold inspections and testing. Remediators must be licensed for removal work. Both must carry insurance and complete continuing education. The same entity cannot perform both assessment and remediation on the same project to prevent conflicts of interest.
Florida homeowner policies often have limited mold coverage, with many policies capping mold claims at $10,000 or $25,000. Hurricane and flood-related mold may require separate wind or flood insurance. Given Florida's high humidity and storm exposure, homeowners should carefully review mold endorsement options.
Cities in Florida
Each city page folds crawl space, attic, HVAC, black mold, and water-damage situations onto one URL instead of eleven thin child pages.
